After having accompanied for years the masterclasses for conductors held in Perugia by Ennio Nicotra, dealing with numerous symphonic scores transcribed for piano four hands and two pianos, Simone Nocchi and Filippo Farinelli have decided to create a new recording project dedicated to complete music by Paul Hindemith for piano duo released by Brilliant Classics. From this project the idea was born to promote the Hindemithian repertoire and that of György Ligeti for piano duo for 2023, respectively on the 60th anniversary of his death and on the centenary of his birth.
Dopo aver accompagnato per anni i corsi di Direzione d’Orchestra tenuti a Perugia da Ennio Nicotra, affrontando numerose pagine sinfoniche trascritte per pianoforte a quattro mani e due pianoforti, Simone Nocchi e Filippo Farinelli hanno deciso di realizzare un nuovo progetto discografico dedicato all’integrale delle musiche di Paul Hindemith per duo pianistico uscito per Brilliant Classics. Da questo progetto è nata l’idea di promuovere per il 2023 il repertorio hindemithiano e quello di György Ligeti per duo pianistico, rispettivamente nel 60esimo anniversario della morte e nel centenario della nascita.
